DEVELOPMENTAL EDITING - $30 per 1,000 words

Developmental editing is the heart of what I do.
My job isn't simply to point out what's wrong. It's to understand the story you're trying to tell, identify what's keeping it from reaching its full potential, and help you get it there.
When we work together, I become your editor and your biggest cheerleader—not just someone who reads your manuscript once and disappears.
I'll read your novel in full, commenting throughout with Track Changes and detailed editorial notes. Together we'll strengthen pacing, character development, plot, emotional payoff, structure, readability, and everything else that keeps readers turning pages.
After you've revised, I'll read the manuscript again, focusing on the line-level polish that helps your story shine without losing your unique voice.
Every developmental edit also includes:
• A complete second read after revision
• A critique of your query letter and synopsis (or marketing materials for indie authors)
• Guidance throughout the querying or publishing process
• Ongoing support by email as you revise

Every critique includes a second review after you've revised, along with answers to your questions as you prepare to submit.
